Editorial policy

This page explains how the content on PIXAROX is produced, so you can judge it: who writes it, how it is tested, how often it is reviewed and how mistakes are fixed.

Who writes

The guides are written by the PIXAROX team — the people who build and use the tool, who 3D-print, and who scan codes with real phones every day. We do not commission outside writers by volume, and we do not publish text nobody has tested.

How a guide is produced

  1. It starts with a real problem: a user question, a code that would not scan, a plate that warped.
  2. We reproduce it: we print, scan and measure. If a claim cannot be checked, it is not published.
  3. We write what we verified: every tip should be actionable today with a normal printer and a normal phone.
  4. Final review: we re-read for unverified claims and either correct or remove them.

How we test

Dates and updates

Every guide shows its last-updated date. We revise content when something relevant changes — a file format, a printing recommendation, a new feature — or when a reader reports a mistake. Policy pages are kept deliberately short so they are easy to review.

Corrections

Found an error? Write to fotomasco.2022@gmail.com or use the contact page. Once confirmed, we fix the text, update the date and, for substantive changes, note it on the page itself.

What we do not accept

Independence from advertising

PIXAROX is funded by third-party advertising. Ads do not influence what we publish, the order of our guides or our recommendations. If a guide criticises a material, a format or a practice, we do not change the text for an advertiser.
